Clinical medical hypnotherapy

Sue is one of the most highly qualified practitioners in Australia and can relax a worried mind to make therapy more effective. Sue recently completed a 12 year course on listening and communicating with clients by helping them reduce overthinking so as to focus on core issues, that is, what is really troubling people but they do not know why.. This was completed alongside some of the most effective therapists in Australia in August 20. Outcomes can be as simple as eliminating a phobia or as complicated as understanding why we do the negative things we do. This therapy is extremely effective and really works.

Sue Hawkins has over 30 years’ experience as a counsellor and mental health social worker, working with and for people in all areas of social justice.

Sue has a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Clinical Medical Hypnosis and is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.

Sue has worked in Maternity, Neonatal Intensive Care Units, Emergency Departments, Paediatrics, Oncology, Palliative Care, Traumatic Brain Injury Units, Aged Care and Rehabilitation. In collaboration with Professor Scott Stuart, Professor of Psychiatry & Psychology, University Iowa, USA Sue teaches Interpersonal Psychotherapy to Health Care Professionals at an annual conference.

She is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (MAASW), the Perinatal Society of Australian and New Zealand (PSANZ), the Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Association (ANZMH), the Association for Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health (APPAH) and the International Psychotherapy Institute (IPI).
